“It's a complete disaster, and all because the a--holes at the top are just running the show to make themselves as much money as possible without actually doing any real work to make the company work. They don't care, neither should you.“

You just described the years 2006 - 2009 at Sun, which there were new “Directors” being created each week, a complete breakdown of support entitlement and a nutball CEO who gave the product away for free.

It’s all for the top.

Even Google doesn’t use “ Don’t be evil” anymore.

You also don't want to put Oracle on your resume. The longer you stay there, the worse your resume will look. Think about it. You are just wasting time.

And even though oracle is number one with the worst pay ratio between CEOs and employees, the top level a--holes still work to make that ratio worse.

Honestly, there is no attempt to manage Oracle as a real company. It's just a scam to make money for LE's buddies at the top. Engineering in the cloud area is a sham. Throw a little money in and give lip-service to how important the "cloud" is to Oracle..... but it's not real. There was no where near enough investment to take anything seriously and all it did internally was put everyone at each other's throats.

It's a complete disaster, and all because the a--holes at the top are just running the show to make themselves as much money as possible without actually doing any real work to make the company work. They don't care, neither should you.

If you are a competent developer, you need to get out of the company. You may think that you are making a contribution in your particular area, but it won't matter in the end, because everything else is so f---ed up. You know this is true, if you let yourself take a look around.

Get out of the company, you are just wasting your time there. I wasted my time and effort there, don't waste yours, there are better things to do.

More typically, however, Silicon Valley CEOs make an order of magnitude more than the median employees at their respective companies. After Oracle, the Bay Area tech employer with the highest CEO-to-employee pay ratio is Pleasanton-based Veeva Systems Inc., where chief executive Peter Gassner's $88.1 million pay package is 930 times that of the company's median employee, who makes $94,810 per year.

Well, we know where all the money's going.... and how important the employees are .....
