Its super effective. Have a problem consult HR - it works like magic!

The company culture is one that will retaliate if you speak up. A woman at Gatorade spoke up about marketing expenses being recorded inaccurately on purpose to hide excessive t&e and gift giving (direct code of conduct violations). HR “investigated” but didn’t do anything to senior leadership, who condoned and knew about all of the spending practices. It was all swept under rug. She was then.blacklisted by senior execs and moved to a make believe job until she was so miserable she left company. Sad but true.

I have been part of investigations for speak ups. It is effective in some instances, but very little is done by it most of the time because there aren't enough facts to back up claims. Speak ups go to the HR manager for the area. Depending on the nature of the speak up, it will then be shared with site director or below. I've never heard a recording of the actual calls, only read the transcripts. It is typically pretty easy to know where the speak up came from, or at least a group of folks.

I called it and got the worse PDR score in my 10 years at Pepsico. Passive aggressive retaliation.

Honestly, I did call once about 15 years ago. My manager was notified, and it was technically anonymous, but, based on circumstances, it was clear that I was identified. While I was not penalized specifically for calling, the manager made a bad penny of me. No promotions since, very few increases and one PIP that even HR admitted was grasping.

I say call. Then note everything that happens afterwards. Then sue.

And no parent wants a disgruntled kid...your point? Well, my point is learn how to deal ans handle them otherwise you aren't fit for that position or being a parent.

No company wants a disgruntled employee and what a great way to find them. When it's time for layoffs I'm sure it's "Bob where's that list?"

Disguise your voice or have someone call for you. I hear they play the recorded call to your manager.

Never call those numbers! They are strictly for the company! Everything is traceable!

Anything where HR is involved is not for the benefit/assistance of employees only the company.
