Just recently left State Farm and am very happy. The company has forgotten the value of their employees. I truly hope State Farm figures things out because I will always appreciate the company for how they developed me, and still have many good friends that work there.

I wish Claims had had a few quiet hours per day with no phones so you could get some work done on your own files.
Geico will be the first to take over auto production. All the layoffs in the world can’t stop it. The only hope is to get rid of agents and all the commissions. Geicos business model is far superior to the Farms.
Fair post.
Auto production underwriting has had a quiet hour (or two) where I am for at least the 25 years. My guess is people got into work and didn't start working...they started gabbing. Personally, I think it's a good idea if it's a problem. We ARE paid to work now that we're on timecard....
This place is a joke. Did you know that State Farm’s underwriting areas institute a quiet time for 2 hours in the morning so their employees can work peacefully? How thoughtful for treating us like we’re in kindergarten. Yes, it’s not the same place as it used to be and that’s ok. However, the leaders are clueless on how to manage their employees and useless employees get promoted because the leaders want them off of their teams. I can’t wait for State Farm to be 2nd or 3rd in auto production. Executive will go crazy and lay off more people!!!
To the happy employee, you obviously are not in claims. Or you are brainwashed.
Well said jec.
State Farm went down the same path as Verizon. They WERE #1 and now they are not. State Farm has been driving a race looking in the rearview mirror at competitors. If you drive looking in the rearview mirror, you don't see what is ahead of you and you will crash. Keep your eyes on the road is what they need to do and take care of the mechanics that keep the car running. Glad I left because they upset the pit crew
Happy I left and they obviously haven't figured things out because they still are being metrics micromanaged.
still with State Farm and very happy ... guess they figured things out
