Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

No job security for the next three years

So it looks like we will have zero job security at Wells Fargo for the following three years. The announced ten percent reduction will hang over our heads every day for the next 36 month.

As if morale was not bad as it is already, this will just make the working conditions here about unbearable.

Joyful days are ahead of us. *sarcasm

True about this, they are hoping for considerable attrition, a strategy without question. Best thing folks can do is stick it out. If you want out, make yourself a target, but be careful, don't cross the line, just be the less than desirable employee who does just enough, but nothing more.

I would quit tomorrow but I’ve been there 13 years and I want my lousy two weeks per year severance. Unfortunately for me so many in my group have already bailed I might have to wait a while. NEVER have I seen morale so low. People are taking anything to get out.

Exactly, they WANT you to quit so they don't have to pay you severance, duh

Yep, just ratcheting up the angst so you quit and there is no severance or unemployment insurance to pay. Someone overseas is probably already doing your job anyway.
