All of the ADCs in Latin America were shut down on Sep 19 (Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and I may be missing others).

I have been at Verifone for many years, STILL HERE but already started to find a new job, and now I have to advise our partners... Facts: 1000-1500 full-time employees gone. Some yesterday, a large portion Nov 30, and Dec 30; expect customer facing support to get much worse. Executive management mandating contractors will not be renewed unless deemed critically necessary (another ~1000 gone in the next 90 days). No org was spared; security, IT, supply chain, everything. Expect entire product lines and functions to be terminated in the next 90 days with little to no warning. Massive cuts to tool-sets as well. Security should have fun while being told to cut nearly 30% of their staff, critical tools, and operations center staff in addition to "we will not be renewing support on many maintenance contracts". This is only the beginning, I'm afraid of what this place will look like in 6 months. I like many others who were spared have already started looking to get out before the ship sinks.
The children are lose on an anonymous board. I am a Verifone employee and what happened to me like many others is tough but to be personal on this is not necessary. The decision was made and maybe they are all wrong so let’s go work for a competitor.

As a partner supplier to VeriFone would be very nice to know the status of product lines and their future. All our contacts are now gone and there is no hand off to new contacts or transition outreach.

Yep, new CEO did a few town halls telling everyone how c-appy they've been doing and how alwful Verifone was, then fired everyone. That Mike Pulli is a real evil one, takes a certain scumminess to do that, wow.

I left Verifone 2 months ago because I saw this coming. I've been through the buyout process with a few companies now, and every time there are massive layoffs. Francisco Partners has zero interest in keeping Verifone a functioning company. This type of equity firm is only there to chop it up into pieces. I actually liked what I did for Verifone, but it was always stressful worrying about if you would have a job the next day or not. If you were one of the few that did NOT get laid off.... don't get complacent and "wait and see". I can tell you now, the layoffs are not over. Find another job.
Clearwater had massive layoffs . critucal delivery times impacted !!. Looks like the upper management has no clue about how to make the company profitable with retaining hardworking , senior employees!!
Synonymous, I observed the same. I could write a book about my ~5 years with this outfit, they have come full-circle now with this one. My "employment" technically rides through this month, so out of morbid curiosity I attended the CEO town hall after the cowardly conference call firing. Lol. Love the strong man attitude compared to extremely weak Paul Galant, but the level of cliche bluffery is about as goofy as it gets. Talk about deja-vu! As for handoff.... none whatsoever. Our entire group gone and it's a completely critical aspect. We literally have our biggest customer awaiting critical stuff that now has an absolute 0% chance of being delivered. The upshot is, I couldn't care less now and haven't been this happy in years. Thank you Mike Pulli and Francisco Partners! Best guess is they're willing to run it into the ground and move forward with an IP portfolio sale to Ingenico when this last hail Mary inevitably fails.
These new owners didn't even care to transition/transfer knowledge or have any type of handover. This seems very stupid to let go such a large portion of the senior staff without any due diligence or consideration of their respective duties.

Yes, my husband was laid off today from Loomis. It was handled extremely unprofessionally. It occurred on a conference call that multiple employees across the company had been invited to. I have never heard of such a slap in the face. Personally I am glad to be rid of the company. Horrible place to work a real sh-- show. In all his years of management he has never encountered such bad leadership. Onward and upward I say.
