Makes total sense-- they work folks at times 16 hours a day on seats while preaching 'wellness' and 10k steps a day... and all the while, with everything else happening, NOT expecting stress to be a factor??
Not ever known 'H' NOT to take advantage of the reality that folks working for them NEED to work-- desperation is an incredible motivator...and so is fear, which no doubt permeates most or all locations. My first day on the call center floor began with someone being taken out by ambulance from a heart attack..... "no...... really, they care...." sure they do.....
Glad to you posted the article.
1wfi- A lot of what you're saying is true and I'm not making any assumptions. I'm just saying the article presents only one side. Valid research presents all sides. Good, bad, or indifferent. This article paints us as victims bearing no responsibility and without options. Anyway, it's just my opinion, didn't mean to offend anyone.
@VYO5A4E-1wfi Well said.
You are assuming people aren’t already trying to do that (live within their means). Desperately in some instances. Have you been to the grocery store lately? Even if you get cheap c-ap at Walmart, food is d@mned expensive. Try being a single parent and keeping the kids fed and clothed. Medical bills are through the roof. I work for an insurance company and this is the worst coverage I have ever had. I am all for personal responsibility and accountability too, but you are just doing more of the same, putting the issues back on the struggling worker. While CEOs and uppers get exorbitant salaries and perks, some of us get peanuts to live on with $5,000 deductibles. Its about time someone pay attention to our “one side” of things.
Yes, but I think it's a little one sided. The author could have included things like living within your means, setting boundaries, etc.
That article is SPOT on. Thanks for sharing!
Great article..totaly agree
