Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

The damage is done

I don't see why people care about when the layoff is at this point. Everyone I know is looking so if they find something they leave. Until then they stay and if they get laid off then it is what it is. It's not like after this round of layoff there won't be anymore or the company will magically become a great place to work. Enbridge is now a wood beam with termites. The damage is done, there is no reversing it. For people who are wondering who the termites are, look at directors and up and everyone hired based on nepotism.

The U.G. president is out. From the email it seemed like he really wanted to stay.

Love the analogy about the wood beam and termites. The emphasis is on hitting targets (revenue), reducing debt and increasing shareholder value so we look good to the investment community. If the financial analysts and Bay Street were to read some of the postings on this board they would see a deeply troubled company with employees who are unhappy.

A few more safety incidents and pipeline explosions should really put a dent in Enbridge's safety stats but investors really don't care about these as they are internal metrics. No wonder the stock is stuck in the low $40 dollar range and it will collapse even further. Right now our stock is undervalued and we are being urged to buy. Why buy when the executive leadership team is inflicting so much misery on its employees to cut costs/people so as the EVPs get increased bonuses.
