Fear munger! How do we know these comments aren’t written by HR! Yes they look to cut staff down every company is trying to do this. If you get a letter deal with it till then shut the f--- up! Talking this rubbish is no good for anyone’s mental health. It’s careless talk.
Yes they can read , so watch out for all them knowledge base articles you write, be cryptic. Cause that is the precursor to it going somewhere else to be use. Since this was my third venture and soon to be my last venture with Ncr, let’s just say our knowledge base info s---ed. I’ve uad account people call me wanting info after I was laid off. Like why you calling me
Most likely they were, they make no issues telling you that they can replace you with three/four people from Serbia for the same wages. They also tell you they are high functioning and highly educated. What they don't tell you, while these people are nice, most cannot think outside the box.
Let me guess, they were replaced by people in Belgrade
Yep, there six people layed off yesterday from the DFW NCR office and more elsewhere.
Layoffs happened yesterday at NCR.
@7xzh I know several. I also know several who are older than you and this was there first job and they are still there. Yes I was riffed 4 different times as part of group layoffs but always able to get back. Qualified for current posted jobs but overlook at 50. Ask yourself why. You are experienced but also been lucky not to have been through this
Oh the 20-40-60 Human Resources rule,
20 years of service
Over 40
Wants 60 grand a year.
Is alive and well in NCR
You are a target
Definitely something is going happen and it is not good. You may have never witnessed it but i have first hand. I was told when I asked about a job that was open on our team that they wanted to hire someone "younger". I am in my 40's and had experience.
@1emo that would be age discrimination, I've never witnessed this at NCR. Maybe some other companies but not my group. I am 59.
If your over 40 or 50 I be looking now for a replacement
