Getting feedback from associates that are still with big lots.... The BS that they are saying

I work for biglots as a dts. This was wrong the way they did... And the phone conference we had today at 3 was a joke... They care no more for us. I get paid sh– and work like a dog there. The only thing nice is the people I work with and it is close to my house. I posted on local new what happened... And also the insider trading they go caught doing. Got to make the money back some how. They fired managers that were making more then what they thought they were worth... Sad.... I'm looking for a different job. They did it to them they will do it to me...

I worked for Big Lots almost 7 years as an ATLS. I almost feel relieved. I suppose since I’m gone the STL, will have to work 5 days instead of her normal 3, or 25 hours a week.

My STL told me yesterday that out ATLM was let go and that our ATLS is now over merchandise and that he is now over furniture but also talked to some other managers and they said their ATLM was demoted to associate service leader whatever that is so he is no longer an assistant manager and wont be working 40 hrs and he cant get over time anymore

I agree with you , let’s take it to social media today , right now that is still fresh, we need the News to get involved and I guarantee you all the Stocks will drop

Worked at BL for 7 years was called on the phone and "let go" following a conference call today. Told the ATLS (worked at BL for less than a yr) is now going to be furniture manager and STL is over furniture. What a joke?!?!

Wanted to start by expressing my extreme disappointment in the company. I've been with Big lots for 5 years and I've seen cutback after cutback eat away at our store and our work environment. Bruce and his consulting team are going to drive us into the ground. That being said, if you want to make an impact on Big Lots and their business, messing with individual stores is not the way to do it. Take to social media. Let your friends and families know what kind of shady dealings have been going on. We all worked way too hard for this company to go down like this. Convince the general public that they don't want to do spend money at a store that treats their long time, loyal employees like dirt.

I was made to sign off on that too my storemanager said just check two boxes that was it that icouldnt leave work without signing and agreeing to it. If they dont treat everyone the same and offer them the same severence pay or demotion or both isnt that discrimination of they offer to some they have to offer it to everyone?

Same thing for the electronic device...

I don’t know about you but that was forced on me to sign.. My STL literally told me I couldn’t leave until I went in and signed it.... If a company is breaking the law it doesn’t matter

What was everybodys title? STL ATLS ALTM?? i dnt understand certain ones getin let go but not everyone and also some getting offer severence pay and others being pffer demotion or severence pay.. does anyone remember that attribution thing they made ua agree to last month on my biglots net when u clicked and agreed to that on their it said if u agreed and everthing that u eouldnt be able to sue big lots

I understand and I’m reading all your concerns, but if we are going to make a change we need to not think about other people, Do you really think the CEO thought about you?????

That seems like a lot of work... I’m all for standing up for myself... but you really don’t have to do all that... The company has already made mistakes such as the lawsuit going on with the cell phone issue... etc

I feel your concern for the people, good people. They need to know that it doesn't have to be that way and go find something else. Big lots is a revolving door, they have and will just run through people, and run through the next people. Big lots doesn't care about anyone. They super s—!! After this restructur e people left behind will leave on their own, right before xmas, it will be painfull and horrible to work there during xmas.

I like the way you this , it’s clean simple and smart , people never use you real information please be smart when doing undercover work

The only way this hurts big lots is to hurt the program's. Mess with BOPIS, order stuff and don't pick it up. Screw up the promoter score, you don't even have to buy anything, find receipts in the shopping carts and submit the survey, score a zero on the promoter score. Boycott the next friends and family event. Finally, just wait and watch it sink, slowly, its going to happen.

I’ve been with the company for a long time. I’ve seen a lot of ppl come and go.. Some great ppl let go... I’ve made some life long friends here.... No it’s not the end of the world and we will overcome this, we will find something else that will make us happy.. However no one ever says anything.. That’s the problem.. Should I do something? Let it go? What about my associates.. I know they are going to treat them bad... Come on how are they going to run the store with only two managers.

I was not given a choice, only severance. I know your upset but I wouldn't waste my time with a boycott. Take care of yourself, find a job somewhere else, trust me, you will be happier, big lots s—ed to work at., alot. They did us a favor.

Sounds like Bankruptcy , I was also let go yesterday and others too from my district and I gave my loyalty to Biglots they don’t care.

We need to boycott Biglots our words can have a powerful impact

Something is happening but everyone i know who got let go nots talking or saying anything. Just some said they were let go and others said they were demoted. Was every one offered a demotion or severence. If they offered some the choice of demotion or severence i wondered if they offered it to every one it doesnt sound right if they werent offering everyone the same thing like they are bias
