Has anyone witnessed targeting of long term employees in the Fs or Rx? Do you see a youth movement in your region ? Our area has witnessed an extreme turnover of long time successfull respected team leaders ! Weigh in please! Is this happening as a new culture?to remain quiet is an injustice ,

Lets be real. Cvs is no career for anyone unless they are a SM or RPH or higher. Being anything less than that and working for cvs is not considered a career, its a job. Not a very good one at that. This is a young persons game and the older colleagues cannot adapt and get as much done as a young part time kid. I get about 100% more from my young part time employees than i ever do out of my full time non management employees. If i was in the situation they are in I wouldn’t work for a company like cvs. Hell you could drive uber 40 hours a week and probably double your cvs paycheck
I agree!
What is interesting is the number of views on this topic compared to all other topics! When young people are blessed with wisdom you have to ask how did they become wiser than the elders! ! That is also why older people do not fight wars ! Wisdom takes time! F your technology theory! Retail is simple , have what they need, give genuine loving service , keep the process simple as possible and remember sales are the life blood of any company ,not a metric on a damn computer.

Thanks for proving my point.
As you go through life it is never a good idea to stereotype groups of people!

You may have something.
Honestly, you just described half the younger generation in this company. At least I can spell, write legibly and don’t have a cell phone attached to my ear.
Honestly, some times when you get old you're just not as good at your job anymore. You start forgetting things. You can't keep up with the new technology. You've gotten too bitter over the years. You're phsyically weaker than you use to be.
Very common in our district to be documented if below 3 msh all the way to termination ! SM held accountable for fs/Rx and overall! Overall score determines dismissal and yes it is real . Low volume stores usually do not have these problems, msh set to make these stores look successful even though they do not contribute a lot of profits to organization .
Something's missing. Nobody's ever been let go over MSH. Come clean and tell real reason. We won't laugh at you.
CVS has been practicing age discrimination for years. Like everything else they just find one of the legal reasons to mask it. I guarantee there are others with the same MSH reason to be fired but do not get fired. Nobody ever challenges it so they get away with it!
The Good luck, you are better off in the long run.
After 20 years let go over msh today! I am over 50. Good bye you punks.
You are all crazy. Fake news. There are no such actions put into place. Actually, there is MORE protection than less for our tenure colleagues.
I agree. Older is not diverse and your opinion is easier dismissed! But you are the first called to save the day and always dependable! Time is up if you are over 50 nothing to aspire to but hard work and kissing the young a--holes egos! Yes they are trying to run you off!
I ment to say Feels not fills
Alabama - still mostly lifers
The new folks are younger. But I think it just fills that way cause we are all in our 50s
The culture that has developed over the years, has been one of "diversity". Don't get me wrong on this word. However, if you are not within the world of diversity, or you were brought up with a different meaning of diverse, you are "ostracized" within the 2018/2019 culture.
What a shame, for a major company not respect the views of others, contrary to their own times.
Absolutely!!!!!! Pushing out everyone who helped make this company great.
No doubt about it. CVS need to bring back Tom Ryan who was fair and loyal to the great folks that worked at CVS. It's amazing how much additional efforts were contributed by CVS employees when they knew leadership was appreciative. So few happy people at CVS. Except Larry and John. Tom you are truly missed.
