As a long-term employee of GF ( more than 5 years), I have to say that it has become a place where management is too distant from the workers, and a place with a fair amount of injustice. Lately, the turnover rate has become ridiculously high, and when you combine that with constant layoffs, as the company wants to get rid of anybody with a decent paycheck, and as the company is bringing in new young workers for cheap money, you get a place that is severely understaffed and in a fair amount of chaos.
I and my older colleagues get dumped with an amount of work fit for 2 or maybe even 3 people, so I catch myself working nights and weekends. I don’t even want to mention losing time on correcting someone else's mistakes. It has become hard to take the pressure. And all of that for what? For a less than an average salary, for managers taking credit for your good work and dumping everything that is wrong on you, and with room for promotion close to zero. I enjoyed working at GF once, but think I’ll be leaving this place soon.
