Yeah, UG and EGD layoffs are on their own timeline and I doubt they will align with anything happening (or not happening) elsewhere in Enbridge. I also sincerely doubt everyone will get walked out on the same day... once the VPs are named, they will start making decisions about staffing for their department and some will be able to move more quickly than others in terms of reorganizing. Make no mistake, hundreds of people will leave between now and the middle of 2019, but the fear of layoffs will loom over all of us for years to come. I mention this because it seems like a lot of people think there will be a “dooms day” and if you survive that, everything will go back to normal. F--- no... there will be chaos, fear, and annoyance for a long time while things getting sorted out and stabilize and as systems and processes gradually get combined. UG has always been a great place to work, but UG died on Monday.

The mass layoffs for EGD/Union Gas won’t be until 2019 most likely. EMT and Directors will be within a month.
Why would it be today. The execs are all counting their investment dollars with MJ being legalized.
