It's settled. Ridiculous lawsuit, pretty sure every one of these employees knew what the job entailed on day 1. Walmart is a sh--ty company for many reasons, this isn't one of them.

They might as well make it scan and go store and have nobody on the sales floor. You can find more people at Target than you can a Walmart anyway!

I guess you get what you pay for!
Cheap stuff, long lines and horrible clientele.
I’m glad I don’t shop there!
I would rather have a quiet, short line people to cash me out and bag my things for me that’s real service.
When you see people with huge carts full of stuff usually it’s a sign of skip scanning. Oh wait, WM doesn’t care about shrink!
I've been saying this for years. WM has opened the self check-out lanes while only keeping a handful of cashier operated POS lanes open. You either wait 3x as long for a cashier because the lines are so long or do their jobs by going through the self check-out lanes. WM is training us to use the latter for the eventuality of all lanes being self check-out.
To the last poster re. customer service: nope. I think you're deluding yourself. People are flooding to self heck now.
I wonder how long not having cashiers will last? People usually like human interaction. I think that trend will eventually fail. Even at self check someone has to be there. It’s a big bluff. Not everyone is going to learn to do it themselves. People like service.
Headline should have read.. Walmart now has 65 million more incentives to get rid of cashiers
Does everyone get chairs now?
Wow, the exact same topic--almost word for word---that I posted this morning, complete with your response to MY post inserted into your title. Real class, keep up the great work!
