VRIP's in PS

Culp was suppose to make dramatic changes, instead he pulled a Flannery and issued VRIP's in PS on Friday. Way to go Culp!

Ever back away from a down payment and walk away from a sale?? Those 24 generators are nothing more than hopeful thinking until they are paid for. You're thinking like the old GE! The one that got us into this mess!

24 generators in 2019 cuts have been deep can’t see an imminent layoff unless volume drops again

"No layoffs or VRIP in Schenectady. We are way too busy in 2019. Working all kinds of overtime. Power might be bad but Schenectady is getting a lot of the work."

I love it when feeble minded workers think their opinions on how they see things matter. Your opinion doesn't amount to squat! It doesn't matter if you think you're busy or work harder than everyone else or believe GE will suffer greatly without you! You probably don't even have a clue if what you are making is actually ordered or just being made with the hopes that it'll be sold by the time you're done. It's the opinions of those much higher than you who see a totally different picture that matters. Get a clue and stop fooling yourselves!!

If you guys think Schenectady or GVL will be unaffected or not affected until Q1 or Q2, you are forgetting who you are working for now. An outsider. This isnt business at usual anymore kids. Layoffs coming and they will want you gone to close headcount by end of the year. Europe remains much more difficult to manage.

This is what happens b4 the ax falls. Give the older folks an opportunity to get out (mercifully), then heavy cuts in the 50-59 group, which are typically highest paid. Sprinkle in a few younger people so you don’t get a class action suit. Classic GE playbook. If you’re 50-59 and in 6 figures, watch out because you have a bullseye on your back.

Schenectady will definitely have layoffs in Q1 or Q2, doesn't matter how busy they think they are. The company always works all kinds of overtime toward the end of the year to make their numbers. No way they sustain the current head count going forward.

Nuclear will be in the chopping block as ion as a buyer is found. No need of VRIP in nuclear.

Hope they bring more VRIP's to Schenectady soon!! Anyone that is offered one and doesn't take it is a fool.
