Why is Oracle creating BS jobs after BS jobs. The Larry hires 2 CEOs to do his work? His 2 CEOs hire a bunch of VPs to their work. The VPs hire a bunch of directors to do their work. The directors hire a bunch of managers to do their work. The managers hire a bunch of worker bees to do their work. The worker bees prentend do show management that they are busy with work but in actuality there are few meaningful work being done. Oracle is better off laying off 1/2 the BS employees.

The more layers, the safer the guys feel in the middle. Blame can be passed up or down easily. It's all a matter of shuffling blame, covering your a--, and doing nothing. Easy to fool the "superiors", since they don't have a clue, just make it all up.
Deep corporate layers are common, even in companies much smaller in size. When you notice each layer only has <5 direct reports, it's a sign there is not enough real work. The layers are created to give the illusion of work, and increase chance of promotion. Lots of weekly status call, meetings, documentation, training, off-site, kick off, etc. In some companies, the useless HR allows 1 direct report.
Yeah, Oracle is full of BS employees. Doesn't matter who they let go, can't be fixed.
