Any other Sam’s Club's dealing with an inability for the optical to hire anybody. Our managers last day is Friday. For the past 3 weeks there is a candidate ready to hire but I am being told that company wide they are unable to complete the hiring process because of a “glitch” in the system. How could this be possible in a company of this size? Is this happening to other departments?

That department dont do enough busienss to make payroll. It will be the next one to be elimanated or go third party followed by photo.
Is it because the PTC position is being eliminated?

I have a bad feeling in my gut about H&W come January.
That has been happening for years, DMs put off hiring to save on payroll. It was not always like this, now its all about hours and they forget we are people that have been here for years. Plus, they cut our prices so drastically we can never make comp. I think its strange how we dont seem to keep Market Managers for very long in H&W they keep hiring people with little or no retail experience and they come in with a God complex.
Sounds like a lie to me, but let's wait to get feedback from others. I just know when there are changes coming, management isn't allowed to say. If there was a glitch then I'm sure it could be fixed pretty quickly. Even a few weeks at least.
