At least 8 developers in the Oracle Knowledge Management let go today. Mostly in Chicago.

Knowledge mis-management is more like it. My time with Oracle was spent tracking, meeting, adjusting, explaining, etc. the KM KPIs. Cajoling, berating, bribing, etc. people to create, edit and monitor knowledge, to take the horrible, boring time s---ing KCS training every couple of years. All while trying to do a full time support job. It was a nightmare that I do not miss. I hate to hear about anyone losing their job. I sure hated it when it happened to me. Does this mean they are kicking KCS to the curb, or just doing the IBM style “lift and shift” of this function?
Romania and India are cheaper for developers. Great move to save money!!!!
