LOL! The fantasy football picks and 5th grade dodgeball metaphors are bang-on! I've been through 4 rounds of layoff here and that's exactly how it's gone in the past. The selection criteria is always the same and doesn't hold much value in past performance - If they perceive you as being a trouble-maker, not one of us, or too weak, your gone.
If you're a top draft pick, you reap the rewards, in sports, entertainment and/or business.
First leadership will be picked NFL fantasy football style. Then project teams will be picked like 5th grade dodgeball. I wish everyone the best and hope you don’t get picked last.
