Ecoark Holdings, parent company of Zest Labs, filed a civil suit Wednesday against Walmart, claiming the retailer stole technology that extends the shelf life of produce.

Giant companies do this all the time. They steal the technology instead of buying it because they will settle the suit cheaper than buying it.
This will get tied up in court for so long, we won't see the end of this until sometime in 2021. That gives plenty of time to get out of Bentonville and get out of Walmart.
