BHGE in shock talks to acquire Schlumberger

Amazing and who would have thought this possible after the Halliburton debacle, however, feedback from high level government meetings in NYC suggest the Trump government would not stand in the way and indeed will support the deal.

Well that is interesting I have just done 5 minutes of research on the net, as suggested by someone. All I can ascertain on BHGE is that GE are going to divest their 62.5 % share in BH over the nest 2-3 years. This news was in June - things may have changed. It looks more likely that either Halliburton or SLB would acquire BH, and SLB being the more likely of the two. Just what I have read. No newer information on mergers or acquisitions appears to be out there. If the person who said Google it could point everybody to what they Googled it would be useful

Its highly confidential for obvious reasons and could bring legal repercussions if it was revealed on a public internet site. Do your own research - google it.

BHGE are coming for us and there aint nowhere to hide

Baker getting a lot of support from investing community to take over SLB due the Fullstream offering which is light years ahead of Schlumberger. Not only did they miss out on US shale they are missing out again in FullStream

Somebody (no names mentioned) at the highest level should be give a huge kick up the rear

To reiterate, I believe nobody,in slb, including staffs or outside slb i.e. investors or operators or contractors give a damn about where does any slb executive's Johnson lands or opens who's orifice.

I for one support slb executives bang any moving or not moving creature or human made tool so they think straight when make decisions about companies direction.

I also believe pk, have enough money to pay for his own expenses.

Bottom line is this company is been very tolerant toward some category of individuals (which quiet frankly they are alot)

I seriously hope management speeds up transformation in right direction to make it more successful corporate.

Otherwise,I would say God speed pk's team, you will get what you should as failed management.

Since 2013 there is been headwind for oil and gas, I wouldn't blame pk.

We know which service company gets it's hand in politics and crime but not slb.

Slb Shares been recovering while competition not.

Smith ? Grow up! This is business, welcome to capitalism, m&a and buy out for value is everywhere in the world and in all companies, no one acquired any company to entertain staffs, if the buy out was bad why share holders approved it?

Any individual s-xual desire or who he or she sleeps with is personal choice and nobody's business, democracy.

I agree most of slb employees are mo--ns and money s---ing individual, these people should go! Most of slb operation could run from India with 1/10 of the cost.

Everybody knows that PK is highly exposed to some dubious business practices like hence he is resisting. His legacy will be tainted by:

  1. the integrated services contracts he pushed and sanctioned in south america that he personally and his team made millions from on revenue bonuses but the company never got paid (everybody knew these companies were bankrupt) and had to write off billions of dollars.

  2. The total failure of the smith acquisition and loss of market leadership to our completion

  3. The fraudulent claims for the transformation

  4. Strategic failure to established SLB in the shale market losing the business to halliburton

  5. The scandal with the high class h--kers in a down town houston hotel

  6. The complete alienation of a generation of SLB employees from the company badly handled during the oil price crisis

No wonder he is resisting. His legacy is appalling

First of all, f--- PK, just to be clear I as well don't like what is happening here in slb.so no love or hate for pk. Most of managers are more smelly than my farts.

Obviously you have no clue how a public company operates, if investors don't like how a CEO conduct, they can replace him or nail him down or force him how and what to do. By investors I mean any investor who owns more than 4% of company share value, there are dozen of them who own that much in slb; these investors are so powerful that can smash slb and board if they want to, and legally allowed btw.

If you do little research, you will see same investors and banks own majority of HAL or BH or GE as well as operators shares.

As far as I see, slb is been doing much much better than other baskets for these investors, buy ratings is never been less than any other services sector.

So why they should do a moranic act? If there is any buyout, slb is the buyer not the other way around.

Even if they think about doing this, their credibility will be a big question.

Think about it.

To conclude, f--- most of current slb manager who got promoted by backstabbing and firing their colleagues.

I got hurt when I got laid off,but I stood up and rised again,

I come to this site to hear about layoffs, hopefully one day I see message of layoff including who was seeding for my layoff for months. People who immigrated here for survival but the day they settled they start destroying guest house buy their sick religion and culture.

This may delay the acquisition.

Post ID: @6orw+UstoJeg

It gets even worse. While PK and his merrry bandits were misleading shareholders with their failed business strategies they totally missed the shale revolution in the USA. What a massive screw up by a so called leader company in the oilfield. While he was dreaming up the transformation Baker and Halliburton were building real business that generate growth and profits

Sack all of those incompetent SOBs

Clearly schlumberger is the most mis-managed company in the industry

The PK team have been misleading shareholders for years "buying " contracts for their own services with clients that are a huge risk of non payment and ultimately don't pay. This is after PK team pick up their bonuses for revenue "growth" from bankrupt clients

Better know as shareholder fraud. They should be locked up

Schlumberger is running scared because we are going to reorganise you big time and sell off all that money losing acquisitions you have made a mess of during the last 10 years. No more pie in the sky transformations or rig of the future BS (thats always been in the future for past 20 years and always will be)

no more financing high risk clients in dodgy countries to buy your own integrated services (coz nobody else buys it or wants to deal with those high risk companies) and then writing of the debate because they don't pay you

No, no, no......game over Schlumberger

You gonna learn the BHGE Full Stream way or you are all taking the highway!

BHGE is taking over Schlumberger because investors have lost confidence in PK and his executive gravy train. You can only fake your share price by buying your own shares for so long PK.

Now the Baker Boys will show how to really run an oilfield business. Hang around and you may learn something and even enjoy it.

We have history we have Howard Hughes and his vision Texan style
