Thread regarding Sam's Club layoffs

Audits

Who does the required audits in your club? Team leads? Specifically the grocery team lead? Associates that were previously on the audit team but are now working in a different department? I’ve seen comments here and there but I’m just curious how other clubs are handling it.

It was the TL's doing them in our club. We have the dumbest group of TL's that I believe they are causing most of our shrink because they have no clue what they are doing.

Our Audit person never fully let his job. He is still asked to do audits and help. Pretty much doing his same job, Shame on him for allowing the company to do this. He is the one that looks like the id--t though. They work him to death, and for what? All he is a kiss a-- and brown noser to our manager and then wonders why everyone hates him. All he does is tattle tail and talk about others. It's disgusting. Wonder what will happen when H.O catches wind of this?

I remember our audit lead was still going and helping other clubs for there inventory after the audit team was eliminated. I told him they do t have to keep the audit team as long as people are still willing to do the job at a lower pay why would they. Told him i use to go help other clubs when asked for whatever reason Rather it be a remodel or just to help a club out but thats over. Ican no longer go help other clubs and wont when the very company we work for is so bad and wants to keep cutting jobs and if other people from other clubs keeps goi g and helping out clubs in need because the company keeps cutting jobs out then they will continue cutting jobs People need to stop going and helping other clubs when asked you are only telling the company its fine what your doing . Nope not negative been here over 25 years and i can say this is by far the worse I have ever seen it. His eyes were finally open he finally told them no the last time they asked.

Our former 3 audit team members have been coded as a claims associate, a pull order associate, and a COS.

They do all of the audits - no team leads involved. They also do Negative on Hand and Own your Inventorty.

Our club has basically kept the Audit team, but has given them different job codes. All level B.

Previous audit team members do audits at my club. Only one team lead at my club knows how to do audits. Yes, I know shame on my management team. But wait audit team took a pay cut when their position was eliminated but are still doing same job...Shame, Shame, Shame!!!!!!!!

You(TL) are always supposed to do own your inventory app checks(new no movement) every day. Also test scan your isle, cycling the building every 2weeks. But now test scanning includes verifying on hands and doing item audits when needed... we are told by Market Managers we need to delegate gate this to our opening floor associates and not be the ones doing them every day... funny part is, our club and I’m sure most clubs do not have ANY opening floor partners.. just some team leads and in center section our Lead doesn’t even have any associates...

It is up to the Team leads of said departments. And then from them to delegate it down to their associates(if they even have anyone). So in another word, the TL’s..... our grocery leads does nothing but audits
