Is there any hope for us hard working employees with longer tenure at Nike? I get calls from recruiters all the time, yet I can’t get promoted within my own company. All I see is people with MBA’s who came from outside the company recently get promoted.

You should listen to the outside recruiters.
Imagine being a top performer for 7+years only to find out your job (not you) will never grow beyond a Manager role while others are promoted at will with less tenure to Director. Maddening! And not worthy of loyalty
...but it's one of the happiest places to work...
Joe garmento found that out the hard way
No. Nike is up or out now. If you are still holding onto the same Job after multiple years you are already deemed a middling performer. There is no promotion for you.
Nike recruits the same type of person every time. They hire these highly educated enthusiastic people who will take a position just to get in the door. They think if they work hard enough and spend the time they will be promoted or move up in a year. Guess what there are 100 other people just like you competing for the same job. After - or 2 years with out getting promoted they leave Nike. Nike uses that energy and enthusiasm as long as they can. They keep doing it over and over and people fall for it.
And look where that has gotten us. Three years of horrible bonuses.
