Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Banned from site

So it appears that I was banned from the site. Using another computer to post. I never used names or even initials but was vocal about the treatment that I and other longtime associates received at our layoff. Shame on a company that is so paranoid that it must police this site and remove people who speak out.

You treat your current associates like garbage. 2% raise after 3 years of Nothing? Disgraceful. And lying about bonus percentage and payout - pure Scrooge. What you did in removing long term experienced associates was shameful. I’m glad I don’t work there anymore- and the hundreds of associates that have joined the Facebook group are happy as week.

Good luck with a failing business model. Someday, leaders will look back and think what did we do wrong?

HR and recruiting have WAY too much time. The regularly post shill reviews to Glassdoor.com, too. They "upvote" or approve of the CEO, say everything is great here, it's a great place to work, have no advice for management. They're obvios and thin.

If HR monitors this site daily they have too much time on their hands and need to do some actual work.

The leaders of this company are horrible and the family has become lazy fat cats. Dozens of us have reached out over the past years begging for action and no response. If you ask me let itburn to the ground.

Not snarky. A former employer who is able to read critically. I understand information and I understand the context in which it's presented. That's why I am a former employee. I saw what this company did to long term employees. It was brutal. I knew they'd come for me, too. I took the initiative, several years ago, to leave. Many years in service to follet. The time was recognized by nothing. Not a handshake, not a letter, not a goodbye. I walked out the door like a seasonal temp. The betrayal is still fresh. That's why I read this site.

You writing HR instead of they is much clearer. Context.

Follett HR ("they") monitor the site and make requests to The Layoff admins to have selected posts removed.

Yes. I do know this is not a Follett site. I also know that the volume of posts from the initial layoffs 4 years ago are among the highest from a company. How do I know this? IT connection.

You sound snarky. Must still be at Follett. Quit. You'll be nicer.

You do realize your use of they makes you sound nuts? Who is they?

They have had many posts removed. They don't own the site but monitor it daily and request things to be removed. This is fact!

Never used foul language - always respectful. No names. All rules followed perfectly. You're wrong- Follett does ask for posts to be removed.

You realize that this isn't a follett site, right?

Maybe the company is paranoid, but I doubt they have any influence on this site. Just look at the main page, there is thousands of forums here, do you think the company created all of them just to be able to control this one?

More likely site admins blocked you because you violated one of the site rules (yeah, not using names is just one of the rules, not the one and only rule). Probably because of the language you used - foul language/personal insults are not allowed here either. Can check the full list of their rules in the footer.
