Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Exodus of seasoned employees

Anybody noticed how many of seasoned employees are leaving Oracle on their own lately?

I think everybody realized there is no future here for anybody in their fifties, so they are taking a proactive approach to it.

I am just wondering how Oracle will continue to function if everybody with any experience heads for the door...

Yes, get out of Oracle. It's not what it used to be. Having Oracle on your resume is a negative.

I suspect word is getting out about the corrupt management, sabotage, attacks, etc, if you are seeing some empathetic responses from those outside the company.

I am a former seasoned employee. In all my career, Oracle was the most interesting company to work for. I am glad for the experience, but my advice for anyone with experience to look elsewhere. You will not be challenged here and will get frustrated easily with how they operate or lack thereof.

Oracle isn’t like they once were. It’s not a positive to have Oracle on your resume. In my interviews, people were almost apologetic that I had to work there. They too had heard all the stories.

People are moving out. Move on to the next job and let the rats take the Oracle ship down.

Yes, I have noticed it. And I will join the exodus in a few weeks. According to LinkedIn many of my connections who are former Oracle emps are now at direct competitors such as Google, WDAY, Salesforce, AWS or Microsoft.

How did it work at HP? IBM?

That's how it will work at Oracle. That's how it is working at Oracle.
