OP, sorry if your coach is not flexible. My coach is and I find hourly is better than salary because we can use PTO in hour increments.

Yeah, what email? I've found hourly to be much more flexible. We can now just take one or two hours or so off when needed instead of taking an entire day off if you had something you had to do that morning.
