Any updates? Will we go the way of Kroger and third party? I’m nervous

You id--t! It's conflict of interest now because Sam's is no longer using Wal-Mart labs. They are using Pentax and there is a huge price difference. Please call a Sam's Optical and ask for a quote on different lenses. Just brace yourself. The lenses are half the price of Wal-Mart's. It would make it to easy to slip up and say something to a patient about where to get them cheaper.
Something strange has been brewing with optical for months. My first clue was when my independent doctor had to purchase their own payment device and we had to stop collecting the doctor fees. I saw this as a hint that 3rd party is coming.
Yes. The optometrist at my club also worked at walmart for many years and was just told she had to pick one or the other because it is now a "conflict of interest" to work at both. She (wisely) chose walmart. But this makes me think sams optical will be bought out by third party.
