Yes, Synamedia Metro was a failure - it was a middleware, so what’s new, but Synamedia itself (the security product) was one of the more successful - in NDS .IIRC about 9 customers and revenues north of $50m.
Unfortunately there will be a lot of "boring CISCO wanking arseholes " at the party as they are still a part of SPVSS but hopefully not for too long. They will be dog tired too as they have an early start on Saturday with the Cisco sponsored 4K charity run preceded by its obligatory group photo. They are still desperate to amplify their Cisco brother/sisterhood on social media. Just a shame they only have a few followers on Twitter and most of those are their cats back in California.

Heard that Synamedia will have a proper party in Amsterdam on Saturday at IBC. Dancers, swimming pool full of booze, real food. Not the boring CISCO wanking arseholes party they usually have. Boring Yank-Wanks.
The SPVSS misfits are still part of Cisco? What's the hold up, we need these buffoons off the books already. Next years plan is to start divestiture of the Collaboration portfolio. CR wants Cisco focused on R&S, these "mistake" acquisitions from JCs dark years need to go and CR knows it.
