How long is it going to take for people, shareholders, the board, etc. that the same people who tanked IBM and brought it to its knees are doing the same at GF right now? I'd start the purge at GF by eliminating any ex-IBMer influence and start building from there.

Saw GP today with EK and GP has this huge smug on his face for achieving about 500Mils in saving from the cost cutting. Always chest thumping his achievements.
This is a ridiculous statement. IBM has always sought after high margin products, and was moving completely out of hardware for a long time: i.e. no financial support, and focused on making money with what they had. FAB9 in BTV and FAB10 in EFK had done this for a long time. The pure economics of 7nm didn't make any sense when we were the last to 14nm. We would be the last to 7nm too. The writing was on the wall for years about 7nm and how it faced a HUGE uphill, I'm just sorry so the execs didn't better communicate this (don't know how they could), and more people didn't see this inevitable Trainwreck as it has been happening for the past year or two.
He is very good to change colors like chameleon. Won't be fired until bringing GF to same level as IBM. He is actively working on that. Won't take too much time.
what about GP, he boasted in front of us during his explanatory visit to SCG after assuming charge that it was he who spearheaded 7nm and cursed SJ for bringing 12fd to F8; even used stupid word for him. Shouldn’t he be the first one to get fired
If disconnected with IBM, then Tommy will be gone, half SVP/VP, most recent promoted director/manager/DMTS/PMTS will also be purged. Yes, then we will be better.

sadly mistaken if you think the only problem lies with management. How about communication amongst the ranks of GF, GF fails at simplistic levels at all levels. MTs have gave a hoot until it mattered
Hire a bunch of Ph.D.s to do random low value things - I guess that's a way to tank the company
I think the time to pay the piper is now. They will lose jobs too (execs) - just wait and see.
There is misconception in mgmt minds that they are more intelligent even after their successive failures including 7nm. So you can say they are blind until they also face lay off.
