I haven't had a skip level meeting in oh... say 10 years or so. Our org has such old-blood leadership in place that they don't give a rats a-- about c-ap like that. Used to have skip levels regularly before SBC (we) bought out AT&T then they faded out of fashion. Come to think of it, the last one I had was pretty worthless at that. Instead of bridging gaps and identifying problem areas it came across as more of a "This is the way it's going to be from now on" with a 4th line who's still in the same spot today. Hasn't been a skip level since. Not that one would change any of the issues in our group...

To clarify; between 3rd level, and first level managers; second level manager was not invited/left out.
In the one I know about it was meeting with the 3rd level manager; first 2nd level was not invited. Hence skip level.
What's a skip level meeting?
