Trouble sleeping

Anybody else had trouble sleeping due to stress? I don't think I managed to get more than fifteen minutes at a time.

Instead I found myself checking back here to see if something new popped up, if there was any new info.

At least it should finally be all over today or at least I hope so.

You are getting rid of one of the worst company with failed executives from IBM, Freescale, Chartered. So just take this little set back. It's no worth to spoil your sleep. Uncertainty is more bad.

It is starting today. I’ve already been searching for opportunities and it seems there are a few out there right now, so keep your chin up as one of the previous posters said. Once you find a new opportunity, you’ll most likely look back and breathe a sigh of relief for no longer being with a company that is struggling like this.

From what I’m hearing, they will let go of the higher paid technical workforce (i.e. experienced engineers), leaving the engineering groups even more overrepresented with inexperienced twenty somethings. It seems they are setting themselves up for a never ending cycle of failure.

What is truly disheartening is that we kept being told that the company was in he upswing up until around May or June, and next thing you know it turns out quite the opposite has been the case. How does this happen?

Ends Wednesday and 3rd layoff in 4th quarter (late November’). Get some sleep aid at pharmacy. Try not to stress and update your resume and look for a different company with no former IBM managers/execs.

PS Sanjay knew Oil money was stop flowing. He didn’t want his name on two failed companies Motorola and Globalfoundries so he left the CEO role.

I slept fine, the 'rumors' (in all actuality, unconfirmed facts) have been flying for weeks. I have an interview next week. We just have to do what we have to do. Keep you chin up, buddy.
