Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

Wait a second

They announce future office closures. 1.5 years later they give a closure date. Another

year away. Rip off the bandaid already...what's the hold up? Stupidity? You expect anyone to believe it takes this long to implement your plans?

Crazy thing is management say they don't know if there will be a severe nice and if there is a severe nice what it would be. The company has an involuntary termination policy and it has been followed for all others closures. Why would managers think they can offer anything less than the established involuntary termination policy? mo--nic talking heads. Perhaps they don't realize how dumb they sound.

Don’t be surprised at culling before office closures to reduce severance payouts. They will cite every one on one and side by side as a performance counseling meeting when they terminate you even if there was nothing like that going on. Be prepared. It has happened to employees with previously strong ratings. Good luck.

Yes apparently the future is Bloomington and the hubs. Atlanta set to be completed in 2023.

@UR448KH-1xju was that because they stated outright the future of the company was in the hubs?

They will let anyone go when they can no longer use and abuse them. They dangle the carrot then pull out the floor under them when it benefits them. Welcome to the new SF. You are a liability, not a cherished employee!

Agreed. EOM, the hubs, the whole sham has been in the works all at once. The moment they announced the hubs I knew the smaller offices hadn’t their days numbered.
