Good luck to you all. My name was picked months ago. Took the package, took some time off, took a vacation and took another job with a company that paid me better, recognized my value (promoted) I could not be happier.
I was wanted to let you all know that there are better places to work and after the shock and anger is gone, you will be better off.

They are too chicken to do it after long weekend because too many people will be out of office. It will be later...like everything this passive canadian company does. Bunch of weenies.
I called the employee help line to talk about the stress of layoffs. Its good to have a log of these things on record in case you survive the round of cuts and are left with the stress of ‘survivor syndrone’. It makes going on leave that much easier. I was surprised to hear that I wasn’t the only person calling the help line judging by the 15 minute wait time.
That is the plan they announced. No sooner and push back as that is the date.
Projects reorg rollout was pushed to thanksgiving (US). Likely keeps changing because of how many people are quitting- moving target.
Probably likely. Rumour is OEB will release MAADS decision next week. The spreadsheets are probably already done for the cuts. Just hope your number isn’t picked.
