September is nearing and we are hearing nothing from corporate. Managers won't even make eye contact. When any of us ask to talk one all they say is do your job and keep your head up and it will be OK. What's going on with restructuring and centralization? We know that they said earlier that some functions will be pulled into Houston, corporation would move to Energy Centers, and the company would be restructured. So has anybody heard how that effects Bville?

When is the bisontennial celebration?
Donate Woolaroc to the state!
Donate the buildings and airport to the city. End of story!
Then make it a museum
Since Phillips essentially bought Conoco in 2002 and Bartlesville was the headquarters of Phillips it’s hard to get rid of where it all began
wHY Are we still talking about Bartlesville? Get rid of it!
And of course there is none of that in Houston.
Little Meth and Opioids town is more like it!
A remote swamp? That comment doesn't even make sense. Try harder.
Shut Bville down! Shut it down ASAP! We don't need a remote swamp!
Dream on Bville! Not a chance corporate office will move to to that dumpy little town. It won't be long before we forget all about that awful place up nort.
September 10 will determine what a modest hit for Bartlesville is, and how much Houston is hit.
Maybe it is time to bring HQ back to Bartlesville out of the Hurricane Houston...
Rock on...
He actually did care about Bartlesville when he was the CEO and it's likely that if it wasn't for him, the town would have been abandoned years ago. The decision to move the headquarters at the merger was a no brainer. A major integrated needs an HQ in a major city. It's difficult enough to attract support staff to a town of 35K. That's not a knock on B'ville, just the way it is.
All of that is irrelevant though as he hasn't been CEO in over six years.
Mulva moved the Headquarters after the merger from Bartlesville to Houston, so my guess he doesn't give a c-ap about Bartlesville.
Lol at Mulva having any say in, or caring about, any of this anymore. He's more likely enjoying retirement sipping martinis on a beach somewhere.
No one is talking because anyone with actual info (I.e. those defining the new orgs) had to sign a CA.
Managers get a 1 rating so in turn Directors get a 1 or 2 rating and then Supervisors get a 1 or 2 rating.
No wonder all that ever gets laid off is the individual contributors.
They are the smartest in the company, so they are protected.
That is the process like it or not....
I don't think Mulva's support for Bville is going to matter much longer!
Managers lay off everybody! Eventually all that will be left is managers then it will get interesting!
They must have been coached this time around. I work in Houston and NO ONE is saying anything.
Employee count is still too high. We must further reduce head count. Remember, it’s not just what we do, it’s how we do it.
Yes, keep your head up and it will be hacked off. Or sold off. It’s what we do. What’s the employee count now vs 5 years ago?
Do your job and keep your head up and it will be OK.
It’s what we do.
