Guys we need to be positive during these tough times at Ge. You and I both know that we need and want to keep our job at Ge.... no matter how much we bash the company, it still is a good job that puts food on our tables and pays the bills...
If we all were to put the same amount of effort that we do talking negative and bashing the company, this place could be great!
GE will be gone in 30 years as we know it, it will be just a sold off brand name for other companies to use. And maybe that is not bad Corporate is what ruined it. Death to GE Corporate, you never knew to leave great things alone, were always reducing to the lowest common denominator.
I resigned from Transpo and it was the best thing I could have done! Hated showing up and listening to all the BS from both sides. The union had no info and the managers on the floor were being kept in the dark and told to do whatever it takes to get product out! I understand the unskilled workers being afraid or trapped but to anyone with a trade or skill, get busy living again!
People who want to leave should just get out... we need positive people here
If you do your job you get left alone. If you don't "WE" the people doing our job want you gone........
This place is not a great place like it once was nor is the union Great like the legacy once was. The company divided the union and now going to close the place and make everyone’s life a living hell for 8-12 months before they close it
I am tired of waisting my life comming in to work in the morning. It is track seeson and me and my buddies like to hit the PBRs hard befor ending the day at Duffys. All this work stuff gets in the way. Please clothes this place and give me unemployment.

@bmh Agree with you and the OP at the same time. Lets stay positive but remember that loyalty and hard work are worth @sht at GE (and I bet any other major conglomerate, just read the horror stories about Amazon). Lets all pray to DJW maybe?

Good luck keeping your job with GE. There are a lot of loyal and positive people who have had their former GE business units sold off to foreign owners or their factories closed.
So you know once it happens to you, HR prevents you for few years before the deal closes and few years after it does of trying to find another part of GE to go to. Also, even if they promise everyone is part of it, the executives with connections end up finding a way out. You Pension gets end dated and the employees get a final screwing on benefits by GE HR and new owners.
Staying positive will not help as GE decides to sell off or close all but Power, Renewables and Aviation. Even in Power, ask those in Salem and other sites tagged for closing how staying positive and trying to keep their job is working for them.
At some point, most of us loyal and hardworking people just have to be realistic that putting food on the dinner table is all that matters.
Take a look at your Board Members and Stewards. They are negative and always Bash the company. Then kiss the companies a--. They create alot of the negativity instead of a positive environment. LAZY. Always got Union business. Then they are protected. B.S.
This person obviously sold their soul and voted for tier system. Smh
Don't matter. We are just a number. If i had some security i would be positive. We work hard and lazy Stewards keep there job.
Ask not what the company can do for you, but rather, ask what you can do for the company.
