Rumors are circulating that our investors pulled out on us, and we're facing a 15-20% reduction in our workforce with a major focus on any employee associated with the 7nm project.
If true, to hell with this company. Can't wait to find employment elsewhere and quit. Who can live with a running average of 1 layoff/yr?
I'm hearing like basically ALL of 7nm...even technicians who've gone fully to AME and are undifferentiated...(working on both 14nm and 7nm tools and silicon). Its unfortunate, it hurts, but this company gave me an opportunity and I am grateful.

looks like IBM guys are making sure this ship sinks with them, one of the biggest blunder was to give all key positions to them whose only past experience was how to destroy a good company, remember Einstein; the definition of insanity is to repeat same mistake and expecting different results
days suggest labor day surprise to employees. if this is true, CEO will get this company to same fate as IBM very soon.
