Will the big companies like FB, AMZN, NVDA, GOOG, APPL, ever come to SD with some substantially large operation or is it just wishful thinking?

Someday that big earthquake is going to happen and they will wish they were in San Diego.
You could not pay me enough to live up there on that reason alone. Plate tectonics doesn't care about where it's better to work.
The expectation is that people will move to the Bay Area from San Diego. FANGs are more interested establishing engineering offices in more distant places where there are better talent pools.
There is not a huge amount of talent in SD.
After moving to the Bay Area in 2010 and realizing how bad it was in SD, I don’t think this will happen. Bay Area talent is better. Higher class of coworker.
I was wondering the same. Why dont they migrate down here? Feels like a large pool of talent is available.
Wishful thinking. Qcom will not exist if FANG comes to SD, there will be a mass migration
