Start Looking for Other Positions (TC / PC)

Our TC and PC were told weeks ago to start looking for other positions if they did not want to leave. Severance will be offered however, if there is a comparable paying position available and they don't take it, no severance will be offered.

They were told there is no definite date as of yet for their eliminations but by end of year. Most SM won't say anything until they have to. They don't want people leaving before the job is eliminated. Then they would have to fill a job temporarily.

Heard Sam's Club is also eliminating PTC as well Theirs is all in one persenell training cordinator) PT/PC. I guess it will be company wide

@1neh...they told p/c her job is being eliminated and offered her csm position. They told t/c her job was being restructured. Lowering the level. Adding different responsibilities and not guaranteed 40 hrs a week. She too has worked here 20+ yrs. She was not offered severance because her job is not eliminated just restructured.

In my store our P/C was told there was a csm position available and they would give her a fixed schedule. It wouldn't be m-f /7-4 like she has now though. It would be a fixed schedule, some opening, some mid shifts, some closing. Same days off but not weekends. They told her it was considered comparable enough that if she turned down the csm position she would not get severance. Shes been with the company 26 yrs. Shes fighting it. We are in California. I've worked with her over 20 yrs and I hope she is able to get her severance. I think they are trying their hardest to stop her from getting severance. 26 weeks of pay is a good chunk. They dont want to pay that out if they dont have to.

Comparable job per compensation same pay same hours same essential physical requirements example personnel must be able to lift 10 pounds unassisted. Good luck finding a level d like that!
