Thread regarding Nike Inc. layoffs

More lawsuits

Anybody else thinks that the recent lawsuit against Nike is just the start of what might become an avalanche? There are so many things Nike can be sued for, starting with ageism and on.

I'm thinking if this works out for the women who filed it, the company is in a world of trouble.

I inquired about joining the class action lawsuit as I have been told numerous times that I have a case. However, the lawyer who interviewed me told me that since I signed the severance agreement, I can't participate. She said they're turning a lot of people away from the class action suit because of the severance agreement.

She did ask me if would still consider providing the info to support their case. Seriously? Why would I take that risk? If the severance agreement is so binding that I can't participate in the suit why would I take the risk of Nike coming after me to get the money back by supporting their case?

Any lawyer in town will take this case. Particularly if you have documentation.

Agreed, ageism is a big group of lawsuits. In addition, everybody who worked under the biggest bullies and got ousted has a case against Nike! The PepsiCo HR Exec screwed up big time and Nike should apologize and pay for this!!
