Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

19 WINDER RATES= C RATES, READ THE AGREEMENT

The union & the company amended the BUMPING RIGHTS AGREEMENT signed June 29th 1998. Therefore makes a 19 winder rate= C rate an entry level position. Next round of layoffs if this passes YOU have no PROTECTIONS. Anyone getting BUMPED is at risk. It means YOU can get bumped and hit the streets even if they never held a 19 winder position.

Ummm the 19 rate was always a bump entry level job. The only way your going to be somewhat protected is an sfo job and even that isn’t a sure thing anymore.

If you vote no, all of us are out. If you vote yes, at least some of us can still work. For how long? No one knows.

Please vote yes - I need my job.
