Worked my a$$ off for 15+ years. Great reviews. Praise from senior execs. Great relationship with stores. Loved my job. Didn't mind long hours because I felt appreciated. Then - in 5 minutes I was told adios, we don't need you anymore. Based on what I heard in weeks and months afterwards, they did. I even got calls from replacements trying frantically to figure out systems.
Don't dis or be nasty to those who are gone. We are gone because company had poor leadership and didn't move company in the right direction. Too slow to react to a changing marketplace.
What does it say when people are constantly worried about their jobs. Fear is a poor motivation to do a job well. So wonderful that you still have your job and can demean someone who was thrown under the bus. Must make you feel good.
