I’ve been gone from Verizon for a few years, but when i was there it drove my crazy how this company could get away with dumping workload on the in store reps and never increase their pay and how they can constantly change quotas and commission payout. How the hell is that fair. I know there are plenty that dont care but i had to get away I was more valuable than they realized and i deserve to be properly compensated for my work without having my pay jerked around that’s not right.

Plenty of sales jobs pay similar pay if not more and have good benefits as well. There are plenty of sales jobs outside the wireless industry. Dont be afraid to branch out. A good sales person can sell anything.
Anyone getting paid $50,000 to be working in a retail commission job should be thankful. There are plenty of jobs out there that are worse and do not pay anywhere near as much. So the next time you want to complain, look on any job search site and look at what kind of pay you would earn with your job skills, experience, and education.
I’d have to say you would be very lucky to walk into any new job making $50,000. All you have to do is look at other carriers. None pay anywhere near what Verizon does. A lot of the reps we have in our store came from Spring and AT&T because they were being much less than Verizon.
Yes, this job is tough and often times thankless, but at the end of the day, it pays really well and has great benefits.
Regardless whether you think its wrong or right with how much they get paid the fact their pay hasn’t changed despite how much their workload has increased and how the very company they work for jerks their own employees around regarding pay is extremely wrong.
coming from an outsider...they put up with a lot of bs, from management, customers ect for a measly 50k
Its not right that retail clerks get paid $50k a year or more.
