I dont disagree with your comments regarding DSD in Canada as they are accurate. My point is there were people in Canada that thought DSd would last forever and it didnt. Nothing is forever.

Canada not having DSD is hard to compare to USA (I'm not saying we are not exiting)

Canada has a population of 34million with 80% of people in a couple of cities on the coasts, spread mostly an area with nothing in the middle

The USA has a population of about 350 million with more then there entire population living between our coasts

Most businesses that try to do anything

In Canada have a hard time doing anything because of the decreased volume of sales that's why some of the biggest chains like target, sears, and Walmart have been leaving or going bankrupt.

My guess is that directional we will probably hear someone soon but as far as timing. Who knows?

My guess is that we're close to 4 or 5 years. Transition started in 2013 closing branches down. Guess we'll find out on the 7th

Too be honest I'm not close to the sales side in Canada so I dont know the set up. I do know that we had DSD for many years but one major account decided to go warehouse and that was the end of DSD.. it did take about 4 to 5 years to fully exit dsd though..

What kind of set up do you have in Canada? Any reps or merchandisers?

We got rid of DSD in Canada years ago. Dont think for one second it couldn't be done in the good old U.S. of A.

We have power brands? lol It's junk food with no nutritional value and unfortunately more and more people are concerned about what they put in their bodies. I saw the Tate's for the first time this weekend. It will grow a bit with nation wide distribution but with the cost of them they will never be a mainstream item unless we set up financing for them.

“Mondelez wouldn’t do that to us”? You got to be kidding!! They owe you nothing! Employment at will. Their obligation is to shareholders, not employees! They have done “that” many times before and will continue to do “that” to make money! That’s the name of this game!

Kraft Heinz is different! We have power brands! Our shelf life isn't as long coded. No comparison! Mondelez wouldn't do that too us

I believe that there will be layoffs announced. Reps will be the target of the layoffs. Not sure if some or all will be eliminated. We will be phased out. Order writers will take over and my guess is a few reps will be retained. Eventually we'll all be eliminated by 2020.

February 6 2013 received EOI and due back by February 16 2013. End of first quarter was last day of employment

January 20, 2016 received EOI due back by the 28th for end of first quarter employment

The same was pretty much true for the 2012 layoffs however I don’t remember receiving an EOI that year. I believe that just forced a lot of the older guys out and made cuts without the option

I believe it was 2 month's. Announcement was made at the end of January and reps had to stay till April to receive the buyout

Does anyone remember the previous layoff time frame ? From when the buyouts were offered and when the actual day was that the reps left ? Was it weeks , one month or two months ?

No matter what there will be some restructuring . Mondelez International would not be very smart in their strategic plan to keep all of the sales reps. All we do now is tweek orders .Most of the ad items come in on a NOS. We do not have time to sell. We are glorified merchandisers. We are stocking shelves more and more. Mondelez can use full time order writers and part time merchandisers to do all of the work now. Can you imagine how much money they will save !!! I do not want to loose my job, but if they have. ANY BRAINS some of us will be gone.

This is from 3 years ago! Sound familiar?

"But some analysts say Mondelez could take more aggressive steps, including by ending its Nabisco brand’s use in North America of direct-store delivery, or DSD, in which employees distribute cookies and crackers, stocking and organizing grocery shelves. Other analysts, however, argue the system, which is more expensive than third-party distributors, is vital to Nabisco staying competitive with Kellogg Co.’s Keebler brand, which also uses DSD."

How many more reps can they cut? I think we're all gone. They'll do something similar to Keebler. We're not staying in DSD to merchandise and tweak orders

And one more thing. Your DM doesn’t know anymore than any of us do. He is just spitting the company line to keep you calm and not losing all the reps and merchandisers.

At most DMs will find out a day or 2 before everyone else does just so he will be prepared for the backlash and all the questions that he will be hit with. He will be to.d on a separate conference call or called into a last minute meeting to get the details days before we know

They do not have a strategic review of DSD every year such as Dirk has said they are doing. Google Wall Street journal from August of 2015 and see what our former CEO Irene had to say about DSD. They were looking at the possibility of eliminating it 3yeats ago.

I don’t believe DSD is gone this year, but within next few years for sure. Sales reps are going to be cut again and replaced with more full timers just as what happened 2 years ago. Sales reps are being phased out for people making half or less the money with no cars, bonuses and benefits.

My guess in 5 years or less we will have people in the field similar to the premier, Acosta, Crossmark guys but we will not do it 3rd party. We will keep it in house to do a better job. DSD as we know is dead in next few years

I believe dirk can end dsd if he wants. He can outsource it also. There's things he can do with out the boards approval. Your comparing apples to oranges. We don't use another companies product.

BOTTOM LINE !!! I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF THERE IS A CONFERENCE CALL ON SEPTEMBER 6

by

Post ID: @1kev+UB7otu0

If there is a call it's not going to be a DSD exit yet, Its more cost savings, its illegal to mislead shareholders that much you cant say DSD is great and and praise it in the last quarter call and then kill it 2 months later. I'm not saying it's not ending I would be fine if it dose the only thing keeping me here right now is that I'm probably over paid.

It's going to be more cost savings, less reps, no cars, less service, more lower cost merchandises, look I dont believe DSD not ending in the future but also as a stock investor you have to understand how if they tell shareholders one thing you can't just do a 180 2 months later

EXAMPLE

Imagine if (Musk)Tesla on a 1/4 call said that Panasonic batteries are amazing and great and what separates them from the rest, then in less then a 1/4 said they where switching to LG Chem That would be considered lying and misleading and that would technically be illegal because his 1st statement could mislead people to buy or sell stock.

The best way to do anything like that is to just no say anything about the batterys you are using and skirt the questions if asked
