Yep just CAO! NA is a tax write off now! We'll continue to lose money and merchandise computer orders and deliver them. Pay reps to"tweak" orders. Pay driver's to drive hundreds of miles away to deliver. Seems pretty chill to me! Where do I sign up?!?!?!?!?

No doubt big changes are on the horizon! Some stores have been CAO doesn’t matter, when 4700 WM stores are CAO and over 2000 Kroger and Kroger affiliate stores go CAO we will not maintain this sales model! The stores that have been CAO in the south were just a very small percentage of stores, 6700 stores are not! Frito being CAO is irrelevant, how many Mondelez reps have three stores and drive a box truck, picking up their product in the am? None, totally different sales model! They are committed to dsd today, easy to say! Tomorrow is a different day!!

The decision has been made years ago. Store's told them that they're taking DSD back so they let the contracts run out. We're done in September. Move on. One team my A___! All about dragging you to the finish line. Then they'll be finished with you.

I didn't get a t-shirt so that must mean we are exiting.

I don't see leaving out just the walmartians. Even if they made routes bigger that wouldn't be cost effective. More miles, same amount of stops. Without very large concessions from the worker bee's the only way I can see turning N.A. profitable is the warehouse model. Lets be real, it's junk food, cookies and crackers with a relatively long shelf life. It;s the world we live in now. Manufacturing has already gone through it. Not many of the middle class, buy a boat and cottage type jobs anymore.

Looks like our paid propaganda people are getting nervous. Because you received a t-shirt you think you think sales are up? There are plenty of articles out there you can read for yourself. We are talking about the U.S.A. Sales and revenue have been declining for several years. Sure, things look good overseas but we don't sell, merchandise, or deliver there. Don't worry, most people will stay till the end if it's worth it to them. Keebler is not thinking about resuming DSD. They are more profitable now, Just like we will be once the long tail of dsd, as Dirk put it, is cut off.

The nabisco cheerleaders are back on here they think because they got a free shirt in the mail their jobs are safe. The game over soon hit send on your resume. Keebler owns China mart and other retailers their are winning because they can now mandate display space because their cost is less.

DSD isn't going away!

My RMS said that Keebler was looking to get back into DSD. Their sales have gone down since they exited DSD and Nabisco's sales have increased

1 and #2 customer's across the country going CAO!!! Enough said!! DSD will be ending soon. Spin it anyway you want if it makes you feel better. No way we stay in DSD to merchandise computer generated orders. You're kidding yourself! NA sales have been declining for year's. They've been planning an exit from DSD for a few year's now!

Game over folks. You'll find out in July. They want to wait till quarter close and 4th of July sales before they announce it on the 9th. Get everything they can get out of you, then throw you to the unemployment line!

I had actually heard some sort of announcement would be made sooner, like possibly final week of June. Not so much as an exit announcement but as a precursor to what is to happen in the next few months. I don't think at that point they are going to be pushing the "commitment to dsd" anymore. I think at that point they will spin it as we have to make a plan for survival. I think they will push a plan like possibly leaving behind Wal-Mart. There is no profit there anymore. They will push some alternative plan for Kroger where they will use a CAO type program with them but one that will have customer restrictions such as real, profitable case minimums, guaranteed drop and go policies for our logistics teams, set in stone display programs customized for each individual store depending on size and volume..etc.., right now we have a little of this but Wal-Mart, our biggest customer, pushes back against it every day.. we survived without them for years.. our workforce and workloads were just smaller back then, we could do it again.. Wal-Mart is so busy trying to compete with Amazon right now they are completely missing the boat on grocery.. don't get me wrong, I'm sure Amazon is great for some items, but who really wants to pay $5 for a box of premiums when you can online grocery shop to just about any grocery chain, Wal-Mart included for 1/2 of that..?, I think there will be layoffs.. there is a lot of young talent out there coming in..older guys like me and many others, we went through this once already.. twenty something years ago, Nabisco was looking to revitalize the dsd model with new blood, that's where guys like me came in .. we were doing the same job as the veterans , in some cases probably better,( because we were the fresh eyes looking in from the outside just months before) but for 1/2 of what those guys made.. history does have a tendency to repeat itself.. it might just be that time again.. I've seen other posts and comments about , that's impossible, we're getting a new warehouse or why are they still hiring then.. well.. down here we spent over 1million in renovations to our old warehouse only to move into a new mega warehouse just months later, ( that meant layoffs for some drivers and for warehouse personnel) .. replaced then with mega warehouse personnel that are basically temps and part timers with no benefits or some even contract labor. As far as hiring practices, just because certain areas hired new vacation relief , which are full time.. that just means there was nobody promotable in that area, not even a part-timer... because yea, I've seen a part-timer get bumped up to senior merchandiser .. something years ago, we would have cringed at.. the retail world is changing but that doesn't mean it's ending, we adapt and move forward.. we can't control the future but we can't also not learn from the past..

I’ve heard the same thing about Snyder’s and Mondelez being next. Kroger senior management actually has a list, in order of who is going next.

Why do they keep hiring? Because they are open positions, why wouldn’t they? How dumb would it be to move towards a warehouse model with half a staff? Once an announcement is made, so many people will leave that they will need all the help they can get.

I’m not putting a date on it, but hard to imagine management says we are not leaving dad when the strategic review isn’t over until September and Dirk has said that dsd is being looked at. Easy to say we’re committed to dsd, all things can change. Tomorrow they can say we’re not, so they aren’t lying, things just changed! That’s how things work people!!

Snyder’s and Mondelez are the next 2 vendors to pull out of dsd. Surprised it hasn’t been announced yet.

Because nabisco anticipate mass exodus when the announcement comes in July. Kellogg did the same all nabisco wants is to drag u accross the finish line. Kellogg spent 7 mill on an app application that lasted maybe 4 months

We are still hiring full timers as we just git 2 new swing reps.....why would they hire brand new reps just to let them go in 4 months??

I won't predict a date but that's about when i was thinking also. Fits the timeline for a September exit. Walmart is CAO in every region now. Kroger goes next. Once they're up and running they won't need us anymore. We shall see.

We aren’t ex Keebler people, nice try! Me personallly, 20 yr veteran with Nabisco, nabisco, Kraft, Mondelez and the works! As for a specific date, I won’t go there. As for a specific year, try this one! Open your eyes, tell tale signs everywhere!! Al those “nay sayers” like yourself will be like a deer in the headlights, the rest of us won’t!! Believe what you want but you cannot ignore the signs and your an idiot to believe anything else!!

A tell tale sign management is lying, is they are offering guarantees of our commitment to dsd. Who would do that? There are no guarantees in life, let alone the retail environment we currently live in! One that is evolving at a warp speed! It’s easy for them to lie because they keep repeating, “we” are committed to dsd! Reality is our customers are not! They will dictate our future and Mondelēz already knows what that future is, they have been preparing for our exit from dsd for a long time! Evidence is all around as is proof our customers are preparing to exit dsd to increase profitability.

I think once Kroger goes CAO we will have a more defined timeline! Keebler reps stayed on about a month or two after wal Mart went CAO and before Kroger did.

They were allowing Kroger time to complete their distribution centers. Once Kroger moves to CAO it will be shortly after!! No doubt it is coming, none!!!
