Future is always uncertain. As long as any company is lead by an idiot. He actually looks like one

Unfortunately, I tend to agree with the article. AT&T has a history of overpaying for assets that are either peaking or already on their decline such as Direct TV. We can only hope Randy can pull a rabbit out of the hat on this one and it will actually add value to the company, time will tell. Also, if you are counting on the Board of Directors to protect your investment in AT&T you are being very naïve. By the time the Board acts to replace Randy, a significant amount of your investment will be gone. Take a look at GE, Enron, Campbell Soup, etc. The list goes on and on. My suggestion is to vote with your feet and sell your T stock long before you expect the board to bail you out.

Randall will take out his anger on the employees if the deal fails. I hope he is ousted if the deal fails.

What I don't understand is why the Board goes along with it, are they all asleep or just in a dividend induced stupor?

Randy is obsessed with buying dying technologies instead of aggressively funding new ones or more relevant ones.
