Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Big Meeting At Corporate This Week

This company does not intend to open a forum for negotiations at the expiration of any current national contract. There will be numerous and definite plant closings for many facilities on the state side along with overseas facilities. Reduction in workforce and facilities in the stateside will increase cash flow drastically. Many facilities are hammering and harassing employees.

Seems like GE has finally won. The union is not as strong as it was, didn't change with the times. Was too busy being stuck in the good ol boy mentality and protecting the lazy lumps of garbage that do so called "work".

Just wait, they will close up shop, only to re open again as NON UNION at the bare minimum wage like every other place in the world has done.

Well played GE, and good job union.

It appears GE’s leaders are going to sell and split off more parts exactly how they did to Transportation, Oil and Gas, Appliances, Water, Capital, Industrial Solutions, Europe Lighting, etc.

No negotiations will be needed with GE if businesses are owned under a different structure. Look for the other Tier 1 P&L’s (Power, Aviation, Healthcare) to also become their own public company with GE HQ acting as a holding company.

Actions being planned will allow leadership to split up the strength of a unified union front as well as eliminate hard won employee benefits such as the pension.
