Ouch!!!
Cut to the quick, young Republican!
Some/most of the comments are probably from disgruntled employees who are low performers.
I was there long enough to know layoffs are coming in June. It's like clock work. Who knows though, maybe UoP will get fancy and have layoffs in July this year.
Without enrollment growth, there is no choice other than layoffs and closings for profitability. Mid level management and operational management does not know and are not informed so they can preserve whatever morale is left and prevent the last few competent employees from leaving. There will be more, many more layoffs until the enrollment floor is reached. My guess is about 50K; however I don't think that is even sustainable.
Its not a question of if your gonna lose your job but when. The fake degree business is unsustainable. Word eventuality gets out that you cant get a job with it and eventually there are less and s---ers are willing to go into debt for a fake degree. Eventually even the most ignorant, lazy, unmotivated, Jerry Springer watching high school dropout wont be stupid enough to purchase a University of Phoenix degree.
Management always says there wont be layoffs but then there is. There will be more layoffs this summer. More to come...
2crT. I have not heard that .... but out last team meeting were we told no layoffs coming up... I guess we will see soon enough
In fact, if we don't meet certain numbers by the end of the month, they'll be letting everyone know about the timeline for shut down and how go prepare for that.
We were told everything is good... no layoffs.... tell that to the employees in FL that were told the same thing and they got hit last time....
Bingo. It’s coming and savings are needed as students are dropping.
That is correct, mid-June.
