It will be announced tomorrow and will offically start July 1st. This is similar to what T-Mobile did several years ago to cut cost. When Verizon makes this switch there will be no need to pay overtime and the employee insurance burden will be dramatically lowered. I have confirmed this from an HR rep who I am personally friends with.

Oh really?
Less full time employees, less benefits, no severance packages, more money for Lowell and his buddies. How much longer can this last?
However, with the amount of hours the store is open they have to hiring?, they can't run a store wit even 10 part time reps!
i cant feed my kids off a part time job
I think they will have off reps that don't perform and going forward PT employees will be normal. You will still have full time for key holders etc. No commission or team commission will probably be put in place too. It's bound to happen guys why is everyone surprised. We just have to adapt and move on it's the way of this greedy world.
yeah and if you go part time and lay you off they owe you less severance.
I called this weeks ago it only makes sense plus it will make people quit without having to pay them severance.
