Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Just got wrongfully fired - boss was racist and discriminatory. Anything to do? Sue PepsiCo?

Boss has had it out for me since the first day, i've been doing good work according to everyone in the company I have been interacting with and sending my work too. Last week, I was let go out of the blue (over an email). What in the hell?

Screw suing the company because I don't have enough money to keep up with them in court and it'll be hard to prove, but given that it's a public company, I plan on suing anyways. At least they'll loose some sort of value given that they are sh--.

Speak up hotline is a load of crap...I called on a manager and it was a joke. The manager was in violation of speaking openly about who was getting laid off PRIOR to the last rounds of layoffs and was just told to not speak about it...it was a laughing HR/SVP conversations!! All the names he spoke of we're all fired. A clear violation IF he was under NDA

I agree... call the speak up hotline on whoever is not in compliance with business governance, and who isn't abiding by the law as to how employees should be treated. Bad managers and HR reps shouldn't be allowed to keep their jobs or uphold certain positions if it's threatening to the business, threatening to one's well-being, life, or career. Get them out!

That is great advice - never heard of that until now.

Yes, she should know the truth. Also about how this HR person who showed my boss my statements (which were supposed to be confidential) and how they then tried to oust me.

Call the speakup line. Worse case, your idiot manager that fired you will have to explain their actions. Did you know Indra reads all speakup line details? Not a big fan of Indra but you can at least respect that. Put their names out there with all they did wrong. You’ll at least make it a career limiting move for the manager acting in such a poor manner. It’s time we all start standing up and speak out about ineffective leaders. Get rid of poor performing managers and we will save billions of dollars.

As in, I was on vacation (asked my boss if I could have a few days off to which she said yes) - then got an email stating that I had been terminated - a big WTF to that? Instead of groveling, I just said fine.

But just to show case how pathetic and fake HR usually is, I just want to do something. I have a pretty large network, even in the media but that will probably not be the best route to go (at least not now) since I am currently in the final interview stages.

I agree with -wrc...it's only a matter of time! Whoever is in the wrong don't have much time left...

Try this: let your blood boil. Tune up your resume. Find a better job. Then wait. ALL the PEP people who made up lies about me, who did nothing when I asked for help, who stole my work and called it their own, ARE NOW FIRED! I hope to never work with these nasty people ever again. None have found jobs. Karma is usually not so swift.

Don't waste your time if you have no evidence. And you were let go because of an email? If what you did wasn't in violation of the policy, then you may have something.
