What is the deal with Personal state sick time and sick days? How many times can you call off?Nobody can ever give me a 100% correct answer on this.

They won’t let us use vacation time in retail. It’s completely stupid imo. Many companies roll all their PTO into one category.
Honestly it depends on the position you work in. Retail and call center positions will have roughly the same stance on it (very focused on absences) but administrative/IT/management is usually a little more lax. That being said I know in my organization I can take roughly 40 hours in a rolling year until I end up on a report somewhere. Some managers will bring it to your attention but most won't. Reports aren't a good thing to be on with all these changes going on....if you get my drift.
Use vacation time if you have it to spare or as another has mentioned; utilize the FMLA if you have something going on that would allow you to do so.
What the first poster stated & when you run out, do FMLA. If your doc will sign off. Some of them are douche bags and will have you go to a therapist if you say “stress” & that’s not good on your record.... Anything that is your/your kids (autism, mental, asthma, their need to bond with you) will suffice. A doc/pediatrician will need to sign off for it.
Yeah but FMLA has to be for a specific chronic condition and your doctor has to sign off on it.
If you don’t have anymore UIA, you may be able to use FMLA. I knew a rep that used all her UIA for random things. She got sick and had to call out a couple of days and was able to use FMLA.
UIA time is 40 then you start getting written up for calling out after that, which is stupid because if you have any sort of health problems during a year that take up all of your UIA time you're pretty much having to choose between coming in while throwing up/having a fever or getting written up/fired. No idea why they don't just let you take unpaid days.
How do you check your balance
You are entitled to two emergency personal days too, just ask for an ESN day if you want to use that instead of sick time.
40 hours paid sick time then u start getting write ups after 48.
Personal time u get 48 paid hours but it has to be approved just like vacation.
