That was a nice story if your are in your 20's , 30's . even 40's. What happens when your job is eliminated by follett when you are just turning 60? You apply for a new fulltime position - they look at your resume showing 20 years experience with good old follett - they tell you in so many implied words, go apply for a part time job without benefits and apply for overpriced obamacare till you turn 65 and can apply for medicare. Loyalty and hard work unfortunately mean little in today's society- what can you do for me today not yesterday - has bin, Go retrain yourself for couple of years then come back. Who can afford that when your 5 years away from retirement. Tough luck fool. Who knew that Follet Family was going to bail four years ago. You think I would have stuck around so long ago if I knew . Signing off again - just an old fool I guess.

You will be a lot lighter too, when they let you go in a ten minute period too in a couple of years -don't judge me until your in my 60 year old shoes fool !!!
I agree. Follett dumped on all of its experienced workers and the results of the past 5 years show that. Follett will never recover and will continually decline over time. B&T, Valore, Woody's are dead weights and will drag Follett down further. Wholesale is a shell of what it was and will likely go out of business before long. Follett knew exactly what they were doing and did not care about its employees. The only thing Follett has successfully completed over the past 5 years is a transformation from a talented work force, to a much lower, less experienced and less skilled workforce. They have gutted most benefits. Sadly, Follett is not a place to make a career unless you are a bottom of the barrel performer.
Lighten up, Francis
